Current project—Interior design & decoration

Interior and exterior design, Moka, Mauritius

For this project located in Moka, I was initially commissioned to imagine and define the decorative universe of a home conceived as a true living space — elegant, soothing, and timeless. This first phase of work took shape through the creation of moodboards, designed as an essential creative foundation to express the project’s identity and establish a clear, precise dialogue with the client.

The atmosphere envisioned reflects a subtle, contemporary luxury, inspired by the surrounding nature and the tropical way of life. The project highlights noble and natural materials, carefully selected for their authenticity and quality: light woods with delicate finishes, woven fibres, natural textiles, mineral surfaces, and warm-toned details. The colour palette is intentionally soft and refined, composed of shades of ecru, beige and sand, enhanced by botanical accents and deeper tones, creating a balanced interplay between elegance and comfort.

Each space has been designed with particular attention to volumes, proportions and circulation, offering a fluid and harmonious reading of the home. Natural light plays a central role, enhancing textures and materials while revealing the richness of details and creating a serene atmosphere throughout the day. Furniture and decorative elements were selected for their clean design, organic lines and timeless quality, combining aesthetic appeal with everyday functionality.

The moodboards provided a clear structure for the project and guided every decorative decision with precision — from materials and finishes to furniture, lighting and accessories. They ensure overall coherence between the different spaces, while allowing each room to express its own identity within a refined and controlled continuity.

Following this initial design phase, the client entrusted me with the complete interior decoration and spatial design of the entire house. The project is currently in development and is carried out through a fully bespoke approach, from concept to final styling, with the ambition of creating a unique, refined interior deeply connected to its natural surroundings.

Master Bedroom

The master suite is designed as a soft, enveloping and timeless retreat. Natural tones dominate, creating a harmonious dialogue between textiles, wood and mineral finishes. The lines are deliberately refined, allowing textures and natural light to take centre stage as they accompany the space throughout the day.

Linen curtains gently filter the light, while furniture with organic lines brings a sense of understated and lasting elegance. The overall atmosphere invites rest and relaxation, striking a subtle balance between comfort, refinement and simplicity.

Dressing Room

The dressing room has been conceived as a space in its own right, combining functionality and aesthetic appeal. Woven cane fronts and light wood structures bring lightness and transparency, while maintaining a clear, fluid and organised layout.

Volumes have been carefully optimised to provide generous storage without overwhelming the space. Soft, diffused lighting enhances the natural materials, creating a serene, almost intimate atmosphere.

Bathroom – Master Bedroom

The master bathroom draws inspiration from a warm, mineral universe, evoking the feel of a contemporary spa. Soft ecru and earthy tones blend with polished concrete finishes and wooden elements, creating a soothing and sensory environment.

Clean-lined basins, softly shaped mirrors and suspended lighting structure the space with elegance. Every detail has been carefully considered to offer an experience that is both aesthetic and functional, dedicated to relaxation and well-being.

Secondary Bedrooms

The secondary bedrooms have been imagined as warm, playful and evolving spaces, while maintaining a strong coherence with the overall aesthetic of the house. Natural materials, soft textiles and elements in rattan or light wood create a reassuring and timeless atmosphere.

Lighter, more delicate decorative touches add character without overwhelming the space, allowing each room to evolve naturally over time and adapt to its occupants.

Decorative Details & Materials

Accessories, textiles and decorative objects play an essential role in the overall composition of the interiors. Cushions with rich textures, ceramics in warm hues, organically shaped lighting and softly toned curtains subtly enrich the spaces.

These elements add depth and personality while reinforcing the project’s identity: a discreet, refined luxury, deeply connected to materials, light and everyday comfort.
